Public Outreach :

 In the Autumn term the orchestra pays a visit to an old peoples’ residential home with a programme of Christmas music. Once in each of the Spring and Summer terms the orchestra goes into a school (usually a junior school) to introduce the instruments of the orchestra and the art of playing together, to boys and girls at the age when they may be thinking of taking up an instrument themselves.
